What’s a Misogi?
A once-in-a-lifetime challenge you’ve always wanted to take on
A Misogi is one big challenge that changes how you see yourself.
But who said business breakthroughs have to happen in a boardroom? We’ll pair business growth with personal development and adventure, get out into the real world, take a road trip, do a few hikes, sing our hearts out.

Let’s take a RV down route 66.

Let’s train, prepare and climb a mountain.

Let’s hire your dream villa overlooking Lombok’s ocean road.

Where You Are
You built the business. But to keep it growing, you need to take a step back from it.
You took the risk. You left the safer path to build something of your own, and you did it. Your company earns a steady income because you did the hard work to build every part of it yourself.
But rather than finding the freedom you were looking for, some days it feels like you’re still an employee, working long hours, battling difficult clients and picking up work you don’t enjoy. You’ve trapped yourself in the very thing you were trying to escape.
All the processes live in your head, nothing is written down, and every decision still comes back to you. After all the day-to-day tasks are finished, you’re left with no time to think about where you’re going next.
You’ve outgrown the start-up phase, but to truly build the business of your dreams, you need to step out of the operator role and into the leadership role.
It’s time to move from a scrappy start-up to a scale-ready business.
Don’t just take my word for it
“It’s like someone put a new colour into my world that wasn’t there before.”

12-day Canadian road trip
“Lewis helped me look at growth differently. Not as more properties, more problems and more work for me. But as better systems, a stronger team and more freedom to focus on my mission.”
Together, we spent 12 days roadtripping through the Canadian Rocky Mountains, building the structure for her next stage, and seeing her role in her business in a whole new light.
“There was laughter, crying, questioning everything I thought I knew and some interesting car karaoke… This really feels like the chance to put the pieces together that I’ve been holding, wondering what the jigsaw is even meant to look like.”
What a Misogi looks like
Loose structure. Close attention.
I live alongside you for the whole trip, and that is where the real picture appears. Work stays light, so you are out of your operations and there is room to think.
Watching how you lead when you are not performing under pressure shows me your real patterns fast.
Honest conversations
We talk about the business, your life and your relationships, because how you run one usually shows up in the other. The way you show up with your team is often the same way you’re showing up with yourself and the people at home.
These conversations help reveal your blind spots and highlight the places where what you do and what you want don’t quite match.
A full business health check
We go through your operations end to end, covering the whole customer journey and all the internal processes that support it.
We highlight the ways that the business is dependent on the knowledge trapped inside your head, and create a plan to get you out of the loop.
A roadmap to move forward
By the end of the trip, we outline the roadmap so that you have a clear plan.
We name the one blocker that sits furthest upstream, and then put everything else in order, biggest impact first.
We write the first few SOPs together while we’re away, so you know how to document the rest yourself. You come home knowing what to do next, and aftercare is there if you want help seeing it through.
What you leave with
The full path from start-up to scale-ready
✓ A new way of seeing your business and your role in it.
✓ A full operations health check to give you a strategic bird’s-eye view of the company you’ve built.
✓ A detailed business operating system to standardise and optimise everything you’ve built so far.
✓ A scale-ready roadmap and clarity on the one blocker that sits furthest upstream.
✓ A prioritised action list, outlining the processes and systems you need to implement
✓ Aftercare if you want it: support and accountability while you bring the roadmap to life.
Who am I?
Big4 alumni, bigger heart & soul
I spent a decade being trained to look inside businesses and find exactly what was holding them back.
I’m a chartered accountant (ACA), who earned his stripes at the “Big4” giant KPMG with over £250k+ invested in my foundational education.
Most of my work was inside SMEs (the step up from a start-up), so I know what that next stage demands and where most founders get stuck on their way there.
These days, I facilitate self-help retreats and work one-to-one with start-up founders, helping them make the step up to a scalable SME using all the knowledge I learned from my corporate career.
Together, I help them stabilise, standardise and optimise their daily operations whilst levelling up their leadership skills and designing the roadmap ahead.

DAYS ON AUDIT TEAMS
Where I earned my stripes:
KPMG, AUDIT
I joined KPMG through their school-leaver programme, a £250,000 scholarship into my foundational education and training. I audited over 30 SME companies, sitting with CEOs and senior leaders of all industries, learning the best practises and systems that last the test of time.
Because of this foundation, I quickly specialised in high-level strategy and company architecture – learning how to lead, systematise and operate companies at scale.
CK GROUP
Hong Kong’s largest consortium group behind the 2019 Greene King acquisition, a £4.6bn deal covering about 2,700 pubs, restaurants and hotels. I worked as a management accountant, helping to structure the acquisition and integrate the earnings of each individual pub into the corporate giant CK Asset Holdings, part of the Li Ka-shing group.
Here I learned how to influence thousands of small local entities into joining the wider mission of the larger group. Company values and SOPs are essential when working at this scale.
GHD, GROUP FP&A
I worked in the group finance team at GHD, the global hair-tech brand, creating standard operating policies to align the entire global financial operations across the 11 individual country HQs.

“Lewis has seen the business side at a level most of us only dream about — before leaving it to find his own calling, his own definition of success. That means he can both understand the challenges entrepreneurs face and offer them a fresh perspective, with tools he’s carefully built over years of research… Those ten days felt like months of therapy. I grew far beyond anything I’d expected”

Tiphaine Siovel
Writer & Entrepreneur

“It is easy to notice that Lewis really studied and experienced what he is talking about… the calmest person with the clearest boundaries I have met so far. It was enjoyable to spend time with you!”

Adrian Schmidt
Founder & CEO

“It changed me completely, I am more confident than ever and I am able to show the real me since we had our chats. Lewis is one of the most caring and helpful people I know. His way of living for play is beautiful to see and makes him way more approachable and easier to talk to than most people in his position. Can’t thank him enough for what he has done for me in my self growth journey.”

Questions
Before we get started
Where do we go?
We decide together, based on the challenge you have always wanted. A mountain, a road trip or a private villa are the starting points. The setting is the reason you say yes, so it is worth choosing well.
How long does it take?
Between 12 and 16 days, depending on the trip.
I don’t have time to be away from my business right now.
That feeling is exactly the problem this solves. You cannot think clearly about your business while you are standing inside it. Stepping out of daily operations for these days is the point, not a risk to manage around it, because it is what makes room for strategy. We plan cover before you leave.
What does it cost?
Price depends on the trip and how you want to do it. We build the package together on a call, with options for upfront costs, revenue split or equity share – whatever you’re most comfortable with.
What happens afterwards?
You leave with the roadmap and the action list. If you want support carrying it out, optional aftercare runs monthly for guidance and accountability.
Do you offer consulting without the adventure?
We can’t fine-tune your leadership philosophy from a laptop, we need to explore your whole belief system to really understand how you see the world and how you believe it can get better.
To think clearly about your life and business, you can’t be standing inside it. True transformation happens away from your desk, in the outdoors, with nothing pulling you back into daily operations.
Rather than focusing on the day-to-day problems, we’ll highlight and overcome the highest upstream challenges and roadblocks.
